it's not aging—Black women used dark lipliner in the 90s to use a greater range of colors on the lips and then everyone followed. color theory is a better framing for this

If I recall correctly, Scott Barnes used to do her makeup and he had said that he lightly lined the perimeter using MAC Stripdown, MAC Myth, and finished with Scott Barnes Flossy Glossy lip. Keep in mind the colors of these were all different because MAC did shift a lot of colors to the warmer toned side.
