October 28, 2025, is a day I will never forget. It was the day Melissa went to Jamaica and destroyed my mother’s house and everything she owned. My mother lost the home she had worked so hard for, along with the belongings and memories she had built over the years. What hurt me the most was that I was living in the United States, far away from her, not knowing how I could help her or even find the right words to comfort her. My mother has always been strong for me and my siblings, sacrificing so much to give us a better life. Seeing her forced to rebuild her entire life from nothing was heartbreaking. I wished I could be in Jamaica to stand beside her, help her through the pain, and remind her that she was not alone. Being so far away made me feel helpless because all I wanted was to make things better for the woman who has done so much for us. Despite everything she lost, my mother had to find the strength to keep going. She had to start over and figure out how to rebuild her life while still thinking about her children. Her strength inspires me, and it has given me a dream that I will continue working hard, and being more financially independent so I could help her in any situation like this. I cannot change what happened on October 28, 2025, but I hope that one day I can help turn our pain into something beautiful. My mother deserves to feel safe again after everything she has been through. I want to give back to the woman who has sacrificed so much for us and show her that she does not have to face every struggle alone. She may have lost her house, but she will never lose my love and my support. I love you so much mommy 🥹❤️
