Wiktor Zieliński270 :
It’s funny that all the countries mentioned here are either oligarchies (Russia) or the most corrupt and autocratic states in the region. If someone looks at Russia and sees capitalism, rather than oligarchy, as the main problem, it’s clear they’ve gone to great lengths to fit their argument.
In fact, the only fair examples are Hungary and Bulgaria.
Bosnia and Serbia are simply an embarrassing case of falsified statistics. These countries went through a civil war following the collapse of Yugoslavia. One could have asked about capitalism as such rather than about Yugoslavia.
But in this way, a large part of the sentiment surrounding the war in the Balkans, war crimes and Serbian phantom pains can be attributed to capitalism. What is missing here are examples from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Instead, we have manipulation of the survey questions, the conflation of Russian and Serbian imperialism and the war in the Balkans with capitalism, and an exceptionally selective focus on those countries with the highest levels of oligarchy and corruption.
