@patty.thepeach: A slow afternoon at Xixi Wetland Park in Hangzhou, China 🍃🍵 We visited in October, when the weather was cool enough for me to wear this wool turtleneck! It was lovely to slow down, enjoy the peaceful scenery, sit by the water and have some tea. Sometimes, the best part of travelling is simply taking a break and enjoying where you are. 🤎 Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how amazing my husband is at taking photos of me? 📸😂 I’ve trained him well, haven’t I? Hahahaha! ❤️ Xixi National Wetland Park is one of Hangzhou’s beautiful nature escapes, known for its waterways, ponds, reeds, walking paths and traditional water-town scenery. You can explore on foot or take a boat through the waterways for a different view of the wetlands. 🚣🏻‍♀️ October was lovely for a peaceful visit, although we didn’t see many flowers blooming. If you love flowers, consider coming back in late winter or early spring for the plum blossoms, or during spring for cherry blossoms too! 🌸 📍 How to get there from Hangzhou city centre: 🚇 Take Metro Line 3 to Xixi Wetland South Station (西溪湿地南站), then walk to the Zhoujiacun (周家村) entrance. 🚕 Alternatively, take a taxi or DiDi directly to the park for a more convenient journey.
