they aren't rumors. It is a very real thing that is happening to many of them, but not all of them are going to experience it Because I believe it's a manufacturing defect. Apple also claims its user error, though I have harder time believing that Because of the amount of people it's happened to. That doesn't mean I don't think you should get one If you really want one, but that also doesn't mean you should be overly confident and trust that your phone's not gonna break when it could still happen. if you want the best chance of insuring it doesn't happen, I would wait until later batches come out, when they're gonna hopefully Have it guaranteed fixed, but who knows for sure.

I rather get a Xiaomi 18 Fold, launch 2 days before the Duo and available 3 days after the launch. Xiaomi 18 Fold last longer, camera is better and has telephoto, runs up to 8 apps simultaneously, plus it is cheaper than the duo. So basically you will get your money worth 😁
