I remember food world but I grew up in Alabama Village so our closest was in Chickasaw or the Greer's across from Vigor. We had to walk a lot of times because Daddy needed the car for work. We had the old red wagon to pull the groceries home with. Also helped her on commodity box day

I remember shopping with my mama at that same Food World and also getting two buggies worth of groceries with food stamps 😂 I also remember being in the Delchamps down the street and my mama trying to buy last minute groceries for us as she was actively in labor with my little sister, having contractions every few minutes and I’m 11 y/o looking at her like 👀

I work there and mid 80s turned out pushing buggies bagging groceries then went to stock crew 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. then got promoted to the meat department very good memories

Holy hell man where did you get that picture? The Big Bee drugs right beside it. The Little Caesar’s. The Rentacenter. I’d give anything to go in the Kmart right down the road one more time. And the little Delchamps right beside it.
