@adamallredofficial: Christians give an estimated $1.4 TRILLION every year to Christian causes, believing their generosity is changing the world. And yet, only a fraction of that money goes directly to helping people in need. Here’s the part that should make everyone uncomfortable. Less than HALF of that $1.4 trillion could fund the entire campaign to end world hunger, provide universal clean water, expand healthcare, and bring electricity to pretty much every human on earth. So where the hell is all the money going? And why do institutions get to collect YOUR generosity, spend most of it operating their empires, donate a fraction, and then take a victory lap like they’re the generous ones? That’s a pretty impressive business model. Jesus might have a few tables he’d like to discuss. Maybe it’s time we stopped outsourcing our generosity. Maybe following Jesus looks less like financing religious institutions and more like actually loving the people God puts in our path. Your family. Your neighbors. Your friends. The stranger who’s struggling. You don’t need a middleman to love your neighbor. And you certainly don’t need a receipt from one. Follow Jesus. Love people. Ask questions. Especially when there’s $1.4 trillion involved. #FollowJesus #FaithOverReligion #LoveYourNeighbor #QuestionEverything #SpiritualAwakening
