Yes creepers would be hated if they came out today, the reason they weren’t hated 10 years ago is because Minecraft wasn’t a wannabe cozy game. The game creepers were introduced in doesn’t exist anymore.

i get so irritated with how newer Minecraft features (but pre-dappled forest) are typically only useful in one specific case or biome or event. sniffers give u two fucking flowers and that is their whole purpose, they don’t even spawn naturally

they mostly only said they wouldn't have added the creeper because it feels "unfair" and they want most things that can kill you in the game to be fair, which is genuinely reasonable. isn't that why creepers have been seen as incredibly annoying and bullshitty since their creation 😭

It breaks my heart how he’s afraid of hurting the player. So despite the game being entirely composed of blocks, nearly none of the mobs actually act like it because he’s afraid if they could modify blocks it would anger the player
