@instonefossils: New in: a Denversaurus schlessmani scute from the Lance Creek Formation near Newcastle, Wyoming. About 68 million years old, roughly 5" x 4.5" x 1.5". This is one of the bony plates that sat in the skin of a nodosaurid, a plant-eating armored dinosaur related to the ankylosaurs. You can see the raised keel running up the middle, and the dark brown surface has great texture in hand.
