As a woman I conceal carry in town so of course I carry in the woods. I would also never go alone. My husband and friends met two serial killers at the start of a trail at Lolo National Forest way back in 2009 (I think). A man and woman appeared from the trail asking us where they were and they had no gear at all. These aren’t short trails and you camp at the end. Later on after camping we saw their faces on TV where they had ☠️a truck driver who gave them a lift. They were down in AZ (I think) by then. 😳

As an avid hiker in the RM, you don’t hike alone and don’t go off trail EVER. Hikers go missing every season and they are experienced; never seen again.
