@emilygoesplaces: After 10 years in DC, I’m making a list of the experiences I’ll miss most, and afternoon tea at The Willard InterContinental is definitely one of them. 🫖 Just steps from the White House, this historic hotel is one of my favorite spots for afternoon tea in Washington, DC. Choose between the grand Peacock Alley and the elegant Willard Tea Room, where you’ll find loose-leaf teas, finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and pastries. (The lemon curd and cucumber sandwiches are a must!) Afternoon tea has been a tradition at The Willard for over a century, and the hotel even has its own presidential china collection created with the White House Historical Association. Add a harpist playing in the background, and it’s such a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Planning a visit? 🥂 Seasonal afternoon tea starts at $90 per adult, or $110 with a glass of champagne 📅 Available Wednesday through Sunday, depending on the seating location 📲 Reservations through @opentable or by calling 202-658-6218. If you’re looking for a special occasion spot, a fun activity with friends, or just a reason to dress up and do something different in DC, put this one on your list! Have you tried afternoon tea in DC? I’d love to know your favorite spots! 🫶🏻 Hosted by The Willard InterContinental. . #DCThingsToDo #WashingtonDC #AfternoonTea #DCHotels #DMV
