@globaldailymirror: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. inaugurated the Pamplona Solar Pump Irrigation Project in Cagayan on October 26, aiming to reduce irrigation costs and improve rice production. The hybrid system, which serves more than 600 hectares of rice fields across five barangays, consists of three solar-powered submersible pumps, 384 solar panels and three electric backup pumps. More than 300 farmers from the Nagtipunan Kakampi and Gattu Irrigators’ Associations are expected to benefit from the project. Operating expenses are projected to drop from P300,000–P400,000 to P50,000–P100,000 monthly, potentially saving P250,000–P300,000. The initiative seeks to provide more reliable and affordable irrigation while helping farmers sustain their harvests and income. Video courtesy: RTVM #globaldailymirror #bongbongmarcos
