I cried when we left. And I cried again putting this video together. Not because I’m sad that it’s over, but because I’m overwhelmed with gratitude that we got to live it at all. Six weeks abroad. Three generations. Family across an ocean. New places, new experiences, and the kind of time together you just can’t recreate over FaceTime. More than anything, I’m grateful to God. For the opportunity. For the means to do it. For keeping us safe. For family who opened their homes to us. And for TIME, because looking back, I think that may have been the greatest gift of all. Sometimes you don’t realize you’re living something you prayed for until you’re looking back at it. And whew…this was one of those seasons. So maybe this is your sign too: if someone you love lives far away and you have the opportunity to spend real time with them, take the trip. Stay a little longer if you can. There’s something different about staying long enough for the visit to become regular life. The slow mornings, grocery runs, kids playing, sitting around doing absolutely nothing…the ordinary moments mattered just as much as the adventures. And to every family member who housed us, fed us, drove us around, loved on my babies or simply made room for us, thank you. I’ll never be able to fully explain what this summer meant to me. Okay…before I start crying AGAIN. 😭 Europe chapter closed. Fall with the Johnsons starts now. 🍂 👇🏾 I’m dropping a question below, tell me what you want from our six weeks abroad next. #FamilyTravel #TravelWithKids #EuropeWithKids #FamilyAdventures #travelingwithkids Along for our final journey home: @Norse Atlantic Airways
