I’d say have at least 8-10k saved per semester so you can live comfortably. It just depends on how much you want to travel, if you’re staying in hostels/hotels, how much you go out to eat, etc.

depends on the country you are going to, power of the dollar to you if you are from america lol. I was moving from russia to america and had to work double to make an equivalent minimum wage of an American. Average minimum wage in russia is 800$ a month. I had to scrape to get 10k. That was barely enough to get me by in america. In russia 10k buys you a dacha house. So really it all depends, do some currency research, prices etc
