DOMINIC COLLEGE OF ASIA ay nag protesta, using his voice and speech to educate, to fight, and to stand with the victims of war. holding up a placard of "MARCOS-DUTERTE, TUTA-DIKTADOR-PASISTA, WALANG PINAGKAIBA, FREE PALESTINE, FREE SIARGAO" the contestant got pulled to the side, his placard was torn apart at pinatawag siya sa office. A professor said "paano ang image ng school?" Dahil sa fb live (they took down the fb live and deleted it). Hindi na ulit pinaakyat ang contestant sa stage DANIEL'S FULL AND UNFILTERED SPEECH: I grew up in a household where food was limited to the point that we had to divide what little we had among ourselves. And even at that age, it strengthened how I came to understand inequality and oppression on a much larger scale. And that same child stands here today, not as a nursing student, but rather as a human being in all totality. A child who continues to question, to learn, and to understand what it truly means to persevere. Perseverance lies inside one's innate construct. We, people, are fragments of this world that holds the power to witness ourselves grow, heal, and prosper. And to nourish those aspects of our lives in preserving the genuine spirit of love and care, creating unity and continue fighting those that bomb, kill, and displace innocence and naivety. To those who starve and enslave the minorities with oppression, they whom withers the traits of humanity. Now is the time for us to wake up and open our eyes, for world peace cannot coexist along the suffering of man. Therefore, here on out I'll say: From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. The same defiance extends to our own country. To our Philippine government, we will continue to fight. If you have the power to mobilize an army, fund the police force, and sustain the machinery of the state with our money, then you must also be reminded of the people whose labor makes that power possible. That maybe what we need is not another show of force. Perhaps what we need is a country where no one has to go to bed hungry, where no family has to worry about whether they will have something to eat tomorrow. Mabuhay ang ating mga magsasaka.
