@news247even: It is official. After seven years of helping decide who gets the biggest stage in music, Jay-Z is taking it himself. The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced Monday night that he will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The news dropped during halftime of the Eagles and Cowboys Monday Night Football game. Since 2019, Roc Nation has produced the halftime show, putting Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny on that stage. Jay-Z stayed behind the scenes for every one of them. Commissioner Roger Goodell said his one request when the Roc Nation deal was signed was that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right. The timing lines up with his year. This is 30 years since Reasonable Doubt and 25 years since The Blueprint, and he just wrapped his Jay-Z 30 shows at SoFi on October 23 and 24.
