@richardakers27: Did you know the iconic American rock band Boston was formed in 1975 by chief songwriter Tom Scholz? Alongside lead vocalist Brad Delp, they were the core members for many years. Their self-titled 1976 debut remains one of the best-selling albums by an American rock band, certified an incredible 17x Platinum by the RIAA! Boston gave us timeless hits like "More Than a Feeling," "Peace of Mind," and "Don't Look Back." With over 75 million records sold worldwide, their impact on music history is undeniable. Despite minimal recorded output since the 1980s, the band has released six studio albums over 51 years. They haven't performed live since 2017, but there have been hints of a possible seventh album. VH1 even ranked Boston as the 63rd-best hard rock artist! After Delp's passing in 2007, vocalists like Michael Sweet and Tommy DeCarlo (until his death in 2026) stepped in. Current members include guitarist Gary Pihl, bassist Tracy Ferrie, drummer Jeff Neal, and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Beth Cohen. #Boston #RockBand #TomScholz #BradDelp #onthisday
