@chef_ismael_torres: This is who I am today. But it’s not where I started. At 16 years old, I entered the culinary industry washing dishes. I wasn’t wearing a chef coat. I wasn’t leading a kitchen. I didn’t have a business with my name behind it. I was simply a kid trying to find his way. Over the years, I’ve worked in different kitchens, learned from incredible people, made mistakes, experienced setbacks, and had moments when I questioned whether I was good enough. But I kept learning. Eventually, I became an executive chef. I started Rough Chop. I began creating opportunities for myself that I once only dreamed about. And somewhere along the way, I realized something. The journey was never just about becoming a chef. It was about becoming the person capable of carrying everything that comes with that title. I’m proud of where I am today. But I’m even more excited about who I’m still becoming. There’s so much I haven’t accomplished yet. So much I still want to learn, experience, and build.
