BIGBABLO :
@raphaelcrimsonac: The old lighthouse had stood on the edge of the cliffs for more than a century, guiding sailors away from the jagged rocks below. For the last twenty years, it had been tended by a man named Arthur. Arthur was a quiet man who preferred the company of the sea and the gulls to that of the townsfolk on the mainland. His days were filled with simple routines: polishing the brass, winding the clockwork mechanism, and watching the endless dance of the tides.
One stormy evening, as the wind howled and the waves crashed against the base of the cliffs, Arthur noticed a small boat struggling in the surf. It was far too close to the rocks. He immediately adjusted the beam, trying to guide the vessel to safety, but the storm was too fierce. The boat was tossed against the rocks and shattered.
Arthur didn't hesitate. He grabbed his heavy coat and a lantern, rushing down the steep, winding path to the rocky shore. The rain was blinding, and the wind threatened to push him off his feet, but he pressed on. When he reached the water, he saw a figure clinging to a piece of driftwood. Wading into the freezing surf, Arthur managed to pull the person to safety.
It was a young woman, exhausted and shivering. He carried her up to the lighthouse, wrapped her in blankets, and sat her by the fire. When she finally warmed up, she told him her name was Elara and that she had been traveling to the mainland to deliver an important message to her family.
Over the next few days, while the storm raged on, Arthur and Elara talked. He told her about the sea, and she told him about the world beyond the cliffs. For the first time in years, Arthur felt a connection to another person. When the storm finally cleared and a rescue boat arrived for Elara, she promised to return. And she did, every summer, bringing the world to Arthur, while he gave her the peace of the sea.
