Black love is a profound political rebellion and a necessary defense against a system historically designed to destroy us. When you look at our devastating history, the dismantling of the Black family was never a byproduct of oppression, it was the primary weapon used to maintain institutional power over us! For centuries the disruption of Black unity, the forced separation of our ancestors, and the intentional systemic wedge driven between Black men and Black women were calculated acts of biopolitics. They understood that a unified, loyal Black family is the absolute foundation of community building, generational strength, and economic consolidation. That's exactly why they tried to strip it from us. The attack on Black love was an engineered strategy to ensure we remained fractured, isolated, and unable to build a self-sustaining foundation. Because of that devastating history, whom we choose to love and build with today carries immense, undeniable weight! We're still actively fighting to repair the generational wounds forced upon our people. That's why choosing to step outside of the Black community is a true detriment and a massive step backwards. It's a literal divestment of our social, emotional, and generational capital. When you pour your resources, your legacy, and your loyalty into the very demographics that have historically and presently benefited from our subjugation, you're abandoning the front lines of our own restoration. It fractures the solidarity required to overcome systemic barriers. Our survival, our healing, and our future require absolute, uncompromising loyalty to one another. BLACK LOVE is the ultimate counter-measure to a world that profits off our division. It's the intentional rebuilding of the exact institution they spent centuries trying to burn down. Given everything we have survived, prioritizing our own, protecting our own, and loving our own exclusively is the most vital, urgent requirement for the Black community to finally heal and rise.
