I’m an ex-Muslim, now an atheist, and I speak Arabic. Grammatically speaking, imraʾataka (امرأتَك) and imraʾatuka (امرأتُك) are not the same: the final vowel marks different grammatical cases, accusative and nominative. These differences can affect a word’s syntactic role and how the verse is analysed. However, grammar alone does not automatically prove that the verse has a completely different meaning. If you want to defend the Muslim interpretation, you must address the actual grammatical construction, not pretend the distinction does not exist. Acknowledging a grammatical difference is not the same as proving a different overall meaning.

Ahmad Muhammad :
- In Hafs: Allah commanded Lot to leave his wife with her people so he didn't take her with him, and she died inside the village along with her people.
- In Qunbul: Allah did not command Lot to leave her, so Lot took her with him; however, she turned back and died outside.
What is the command of Allah?

FACT: the Institute for New Testament Textual Research (INTF), University of Münster, states that no original manuscript of any of the 27 New Testament books survives. the earliest fragments date from the 2nd century, while the first major complete manuscripts come from the 4th century. around 5,700 Greek manuscripts survive, containing thousands of textual variants, and “no single copy agrees precisely with any other one.” the INTF explicitly states that the initial text “is not extant. It has to be reconstructed.” in its study of Acts, it states that “an original text is not preserved” and reports 7,446 passages with textual differences among the manuscripts examined. this is literally why textual criticism and reconstruction are necessary.
