We don't have enough resources, blah blah blah" I'm pretty sure we would be getting our resources from other planets and asteroids by the time humanity attempts to build something as large as that. Though I doubt making it even with enough resources would be easy, since we need to consider multiple things like basic air, gravity, gravitational pull, etc. But I'm again, pretty sure we would be able to build something similar in a few thousand years, since technological growth isn't linear, but rather exponential
