It disgusts me how everyone trys to move past what's happened, it's not to say to hate white people for what their parents and grandparents did, or to try and push any sort of hatred towards eachother -- but to educate one another. I remember in history being shown videos of apartheid, of what Nelson Mandela did, what happened in the prisons at the apartheid museum -- I understood how horrific it was, and I was taught we all already grew and moved past it. But I see white people, and people of colour in this country still joke about the pencil test, using slurs interchangeably with general slang. We haven't changed, the ANC after Mandela died simply rode off Madibas slogans as they slowly rotted our constitution more and more. We should strive to teach eachother the truth, to learn how to coincide and work together so that we may actually say that us south Africans are a rainbow nation. Instead people push political parties like the DA and EFF to make us push for race wars and hatred. Divided. We'd be so much stronger if we as a youth united against it all.

that's because no one has rectified, or even tried to rectify, the damage done by apartheid, they just changed the laws. homelands are still populated purely by black people, even if they have different names. schools in black areas are still sub-par. black south Africans have been forced into an insane systematic, socioeconomic disadvantage, and no one is doing anything to fix it.

South Africa's biggest challenge is its history, it's history brought truma to all of its citizens for generations hence why south africa struggles with good leadership and appointing the right governance, the hate among each other translate to the way we run the country
