🐾❤️ WHO ELSE SHARES THEIR BED WITH A DACHSHUND… OR FIVE? 😂 Okay, dachshund people, I have GOT to know something! How many of you actually get to sleep in your own bed? 🤣 Because around Cherished Dachshunds, I’m pretty sure I just pay for the bed and the dogs own it! Now, I’m probably a little different from most breeders, but my own puppies actually start out sleeping in bed with me. ❤️ I want them to learn from an early age that the bed is for sleeping, NOT for going potty! And believe it or not, it works for us! As they get older, some gradually move to sleeping in their crates at night, while others stay right there with Mama. And let me tell you, sleeping with dachshunds is NOT for the weak! 😂 You’ve got one stretched across the bed like he worked a 12-hour shift, another stealing your pillow, one buried so far under the blankets you have to check if they’re still breathing, and at least one who thinks sleeping directly on top of you is the ONLY acceptable option! And don’t even get me started on the middle-of-the-night interruptions! 🤣 You can be sound asleep, having the best dream of your life, and suddenly there’s a little nose poking you in the face. Apparently, somebody needs kisses at 2 AM. Then there’s the 4 AM wake-up call! No alarm needed around here! Somebody’s awake, and apparently that means EVERYBODY should be awake! 😂 And of course, after they’ve gotten their love and attention, they curl right back up and go to sleep while Mama lies there wide awake wondering what just happened! 🤦‍♀️🤣 But here’s the funny thing… I can’t sleep without them. ❤️ I love their little warm bodies snuggled against me, the way they burrow under the covers, and those sweet sleepy kisses. Even when they’re driving me absolutely crazy, there’s nowhere else I’d rather have them. One day, I know I’ll miss those little noses waking me up in the middle of the night. So I’ll take the stolen pillows, the interrupted sleep, and the tiny corner of mattress they so generously allow me to have. ❤️ Now it’s YOUR turn, and I want the truth! 😂👇 Do your dachshunds sleep in your bed, or do you make them sleep in their own? And if they sleep with you, HOW MANY are in there? I’m especially curious who else has a dachshund that thinks 4 AM is a perfectly acceptable time to start the day! 🤣 No judgment here!
