the whole idea of worshipping someone just because they are older is something made up by old people who don’t deserve respect - just because you happened to be born first doesn’t automatically mean you deserve respect you earn it

I have the same respect for the elders in my family. I have cousins who are closer to my mom's age than mine, I treat them with the utmost respect. I have an aunt and uncle who are a couple years older than me, but because they're my mom's siblings I treat them with the utmost respect. I have never used a profane word around them.

I helped raise my siblings when I was a baby myself. I paid for a-lot when I didn’t have to. I have up a lot when I shouldn’t have had to. Now, that we are all adults, they just do things for me, it’s an honor really. They honor me when I never asked for it. They are just grateful for my sacrifices. It’s respectful. And humbling 🥺🙏🏼
