@monstrofarm: How will she do without a pot? This orchid was a Mother’s Day gift for my wife, and I decided to give her a makeover using a Japanese technique called kokedama. Here’s how I made it: 💦 I started by watering my orchid and leaving her overnight to soften up the media and make it easier to remove her from the pot. That didn’t work as well as I would’ve liked, so I had to use a dowel to pry her out. 🌱 Then, I removed the pot and a layer of moss from the outside to check on the roots. 💧 Next, I soaked fresh sphagnum moss and squeezed out the excess water. 👐 From there, I wrapped the moss around the roots, shaping it into a ball while keeping the crown exposed. 🧵 After that, I secured everything with fishing line so it could hold its shape. 🪵 Finally, I placed her on a fancy pedestal under my grow lights.
