If your going for realisme you should change how coocking works. It shoulder give less food but make it full up the hunger bar at a slower pace or give certian risks to it like it might make you sick.

hunger is fine, the thing that does really bother me, and that nobody likes or ever asked for, is durability. it differs per game how annoying it is, arc raiders is an example where its BAD
