@swimwithlilli: learning to swim? lesson 6 🤍 when you’re learning to swim, your kick helps you move forwards through the water. but bigger kicks don’t necessarily mean faster swimming! start by practising on poolside, keeping your legs relatively straight with a soft bend in your knees. focus on making small, quick kicks rather than bending your knees too much. once you’re comfortable with the movement, take it into the water! push off the wall in your streamlined position from lesson 5 and add your kicks to help you glide forwards🩵 ✨ swim teacher tip: try to keep your kicks small and continuous, with just your feet breaking the surface. keep your body long and your arms stretched out in front of you, and avoid letting your legs sink too low. take your time practising - you don’t need to get everything perfect straight away! next up: lesson 7 - adding your arms! 🏊🏼♀️ save this for your next swim! :)🩵 #swimming #swimteacher #learntoswim #adultswimming #kicking
