Observing the doctor, I learned how they use verbal and non-verbal communication to reassure the patient and establish the symptoms and concerns. This information is critical to developing a plan of investigation and treatment based upon the potential diagnosis. I also gained insight into time management, and how to prioritise according to clinical urgency. - I remember seeing this on an application thinking yep they didn’t just spend time following the medics, they understood the assignment.
