I left in march. Even went to catholic school. There is no emphasis on a relationship with Jesus. I knew more about Mary and Joseph than I knew about Jesus other than the stations of the cross. I didn’t know about his ministry I didn’t know about the disciples I didn’t know anything. And never once at confession or when I asked a question did a priest tell me to read my Bible and try to find an answer there BECAUSE IF YOU READ YOUR BIBLE it’s clear as day most of the things they’re teaching and doing are wrong

So where is the blasphemy and hypocrisy? You never actually provided any evidence of any rebukes. Jesus designated Peter as the rock of his church, and you can read the works of Irenaeus of Lyons stating the Church in Rome was the first one founded by Peter. He also made a list of bishops to succeed Peter and Paul. What is your basis for any of these claims, besides your personal issue with authority?

🙌🏼 I was raised Catholic, but it wasn’t until my 20s, when I came to know Jesus personally, that I truly experienced a relationship with God. I began reading the Bible for myself and understanding that our salvation is through Jesus Christ—not religious traditions, rituals, or the teachings of man.
