What matters is the scale of investment, economic impact, & long-term tax revenue it can generate for Mv.    Attracting major int'l investors & businesses can create jobs, opportunitnies, & greater economic value for Maldivians    It would deliver immense benefits to us. The current Minister, & the political class more broadly, may not yet have a clear appreciation of the multiplier effects on investment; nevertheless, this remains an empirical fact.   .I support such investment, provided the agreement protects our national interest & does     not unfairly disadvantage the Maldives.
