@marisadventuresinjapan: Takayama Inari Shrine, in Tsugaru City, Aomori Prefecture, is famous for its breathtaking pathway of bright red torii gates that curve beautifully around a hill and a peaceful pond ⛩️ and it’s one of those places I wanted to visit for such a long time! It’s often compared to Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto, but here you can actually take your time, enjoy the silence, and capture those iconic shots without the crowds. Every season is a great time to visit: 🌸 Spring: Cherry blossoms add soft pink tones; 🌿 Summer: Lush green surroundings; 🍁 Autumn: Fiery red and orange leaves; ❄️ Winter: Snow-covered torii for a magical contrast! Don’t forget to collect your Goshuin, the shrine stamp! 🚃 From Aomori or Hirosaki, take a train to Goshogawara Station. From there, take a bus (around 30–40 minutes) to “Takayamainariiriguchi.” It is still a 45-minute walk from the bus stop to the shrine, so you might want to take a taxi instead (there is a taxi company located close to the bus stop🚏). Because there are limited train and bus services (especially on Saturdays and Sundays), renting a car is highly recommended for this trip! 🚗
