While yes, it recycles air from inside the car, no car is fully sealed. Fresh air will leak in, and bad air will leak out. If you start getting a headache open 2 windows slightly for a few minutes to cycle out the air.

this is 100% false. there is a panel on every car typically on the left side in the trunk that is designed to always let fresh air out. this does recalculate some air but not that much

My car automatically adjusts for this by temporarily allowing fresh air in. My car actually tells me this when I turn on that recycling feature

Don't ever ever open that ventilation, because if you're sitting in traffic, you have a higher risk of carbon bonoxide. Entering the vehicle rather than having CO2 really started your body. Just open the side windows a little bit. And let the a c run, that's it
