@heartsofhistory: September 2026. French high school students demand teachers, smaller classes and safe buildings. When nothing changes, they block their schools, and over 1,000 are affected. The response: riot police, tear gas and LBD rounds. In Tours, a 16-year-old is left with a permanent eye injury. In Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, a 14-year-old's jaw is broken. In Lens, a 15-year-old loses his hand. They didn't back down: on 17 October, 800,000 marched across France according to organisers. #france #blocus #lycéens #protest

The France people really know how to protest, and they stand united as one. I really envy that

flavie.lmr :

Don’t forget that it all started in the overseas departments (Martinique, Réunion, Mayotte, French Guiana, Guadeloupe), but nobody has mentioned it!! The cost of living is three times higher than in France, they have no access to drinking water, and most of the school buildings are in a state of disrepair, it’s scandalous !! 😡😡

Jenni :

THATS what their protesting for dude I completely forgot the whole meaning of their protest of how godamn crazy it got in a couple of DAYS😭😭

Désolé pour l'erreur : ça a effectivement commencé dans les DOM-TOM, et le jeune qui a perdu sa main n'avait pas ramassé la grenade, il se l'est prise dans la main.

and they didnt ask for big things! if it is compulsory for young people to attend school, then they need teachers. Making such a big deal out of something completely innocent and reasonable

Yall realise that this is what was intended, to be a protest for education, but wildly lost control within days and lost ALL meaning
