these skits always make me so glad that my mother is a normal person and treats my partner with so much love and kindness. I've flat out told her that if she ever acts like that, I'm putting her in the worst rated home I can find (she agreed that's reasonable 😂)

sounds like my sil except she was very insistent about coming back up just weeks after we got home. I just wasn't in the mood for company. the only people I even remotely wanted around was my mom sister and mil. I knew that they would help.

These skits (and others) may be a bit exaggerated but they’re based off of real interactions, and it just boggles my mind how many boy moms outright dismiss THEIR SON’S WIFE, THE MOTHER of their GRANDCHILD as if she doesn’t deserve basic respect. Why can’t these MIL’s get it through their heads that their grandchild ISN’T their second wind?
