Recharging Seachem Purigen to keep that water ✨crystal clear✨! Step 1: Remove Used Purigen 🧽 📦 Take the Purigen pouch out of your filter. 📉 If it’s dark brown or black, it’s time to recharge! ⸻ Step 2: Rinse Off Gunk 🚿 💦 Rinse the pouch under running tap water to remove loose debris. 🧼 You don’t need it crystal clean—just enough to prep for soaking. ⸻ Step 3: Bleach Soak 🧪 🥄 Mix 1 part regular unscented bleach (no additives) with 1 part water in a container. 📥 Submerge the Purigen completely. ⏳ Soak for 24 hours in a well-ventilated area. ⸻ Step 4: Rinse Thoroughly 🚰 📤 After 24 hours, drain the bleach solution. 🔁 Rinse under running water for at least 5 minutes to remove most of the bleach. ⸻ Step 5: Dechlorinate with Prime or Detoxifier 🌿 🧴 Fill a container with water and add a double dose of Seachem Prime (or equivalent detoxifier). 🧽 Let the Purigen soak in this for 8 hours minimum (overnight is better). 💡 This step is CRUCIAL to remove chlorine from the resin and make it aquarium-safe! ⸻ Step 6: Optional Tank Water Soak 🐠 🥄 Scoop a cup of tank water and soak the recharged Purigen for a few minutes. 💧This helps match temperature and parameters before going back in. ⸻ Step 7: Reuse or Store 💼 🌊 Drop the pouch back into your filter, or 📦 Dry completely and store it sealed for later use. ⸻ 📝 NOTE: 📌 In this video, I’m replacing with a brand new Purigen pouch. 🔁 But usually, I follow this full recharge method to reuse it multiple times—it saves money and works just as well! ⸻ ⚠️ Tips & Warnings: •	Never use scented or splash-less bleach. •	Never mix bleach and Prime directly—it can release toxic fumes. •	Always double-check that the chlorine smell is gone before introducing back to your aquarium.@Seachem #Purigen #Seachem #AquariumTok #FishTankLife #AquariumCare #AquariumTips #FilterMedia #TankMaintenance #CrystalClearWater #RechargingPurigen #Aquascape #AquariumHobby #SeachemPrime #seachempurigen #WaterPolish #nepalitiktok #nepaliinusa #fyp
