Maybe if they hired more people instead of making one person do 18 peoples jobs. Every single time I go into a Dollar General or a dollar store or a Family Dollar there’s always 1 to 2 people in there with big pallets everywhere and empty shelves. How do you expect them to keep up with price tags?

PLEASE stop saying the cashier rung it up as *** . it is not entirely on the cashier. it’s the SYSTEM that rung it up as a different price. this makes it sound like it’s a cashier intentionally charging more than what was stated on the shelf. that’s not what is happening. it’s a price change in the system and the shelf never got updated therefore the system rings it up at a different price.

What gets me is Dollar General is a multi-Million dollar company and refuses to hire more people or pay their employees more than minimum wage. I was a manager a few years ago and was lucky I even got 10 dollars as pay.

Dollar General stores usually have TWO employees, sometimes even ONE. My local store has been consistently overcharging due to lack of employees. Prices go up with no one to change the shelf tags.

This is a regular thing for dg….. when you ask the cashier , she then yells for the manager, if you’re lucky they come and change the price.. but normally there’s no manager to change the price so you’re sol. 🤷♀️
