@your..local..bartender: Ingredients: (1 Serving) • Bottom layer: • 1.5 oz dark rum (or black spiced rum) • Top layer: • 1.5 oz Midori (melon liqueur) • ¾ oz fresh lime juice • ½ oz simple syrup • Splash of lemon-lime soda (optional, for a little fizz) • Black sugar or black sanding sugar for the rim • Garnish: orange peel twist Instructions: 1. Rim the glass with lime juice and dip it in black sugar. Set aside. 2. Pour the dark rum into the glass first (this becomes the dark bottom layer). Add a few ice cubes. 3. In a shaker, combine the Midori, lime juice, and simple syrup with ice. Shake until cold. 4. Slowly strain the green mixture over the back of a spoon onto the dark rum so it floats and creates the layered look. The green will sit on top and gently blend at the boundary. 5. Optional: top with a small splash of soda for a light fizz. 6. Garnish with the orange peel twist.
