@rebeccabecky.guid: Yesterday, while listening to Jonathan Roumie on the Hallow app, I learned something about our Catholic faith that I never knew. I’ve noticed Jonathan wearing skull rings and always associated that kind of jewelry with bikers or Gothic fashion. But today, he explained why he wears them, and I found the meaning beautiful. Memento Mori is Latin for “Remember that you will die.” It’s a centuries-old Christian tradition, deeply rooted in Catholic spirituality. Jonathan explained that he doesn’t wear his skull rings to be morbid or dwell on death. He wears them to remind himself that his time on earth is limited and that he’s called to become a saint. That really made me think. Losing people we love, facing difficult seasons, and experiencing how fragile life can be changes our perspective. We aren’t promised tomorrow. So why waste today holding on to anger, resentment, fear, or things that keep us from growing closer to God? We have today to love, forgive, show compassion, and focus on what truly matters. Memento Mori isn’t about living in fear of death. It’s about letting that truth change how we live every day. Life is short. Eternity is forever. And the choices we make today matter. 🦋 #MementoMori #CatholicFaith #JonathanRoumie #HallowApp #FaithJourney
