@soyo_do: Bipolar disorder (formerly called manic depression) is a lifelong mental health condition that causes extreme shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to think clearly #art #oc #fyp #animation #mentalhealt
hello i have bipolar 2, as well as autism and i would like to confirm if bp is actually meant for borderline-personality? i'm just a little worried of further confusions between bipolar and bpd cuz of the caption, so sorry to ask and thank you so much for making an awareness post! :) 💙

I have bipolar too and it annoys me so bad when I see people romanticising it or calling someone bipolar whenever they act a little weird like they have no idea what its actually like also this is such a good animation im entranced

My aunt could never exist in any stable way. She would end up selling her (then) house, quitting her job, and then not even having enough energy to stand up for the next week. At the time, I was a child. My family always told me she was a horrible person and simply a "Party-go-er." After a few years, the stress cought up to her and turned her hypomania into her first mania. That hospitalisation could've been avoided, she could've gotten diagnosed earlier if someone cared. Awarness IS important.

idk i mean as someone with bipolar i often do tend to romanticize my own condition while still paying attention to the actual off-putting parts of the disorder. like, that's almost how I'll romanticize it kind of? obviously im sure this isnt at all what you were referring to but idk i still started ranting anyway💔 also lowk excuse to share some of my art about it idk #peacelove

My sister also has bipolar and almost crashed her life in high school. Drinking, smoking, partying and the questions that were always asked to mom: ‘where’s my sister????’. She’s now in college, medicated. I don’t know what would’ve happened if she didn’t get help.

I’m not self diagnosing but I am abnormally anxious all the time and I feel like I’m having a life or death scenario when I’m out in public and I always think I’m being watched so I have to perfect the way I walk, the way I breathe and I don’t even drink water bc I’m afraid I’ll be too loud. My irrational anxiety interferes with my daily life and I can’t even do anything without being incredibly anxious and uncomfortable and it’s not something to be romanticised. I feel so bad for the people who have mental illnesses and my heart goes out to them. 🫶

I actually got diagnosed around a month and a half ago, when i was manic (or in a mixed episode i forgot), but i was going to murder/attack someone(a random and no particular reason) because of how irritated i was and didnt, only because i didnt want to get in trouble at my uni, so i told the health centre area and was in the ward for a week.

it bothers me when people romanticize it. it’s not fun. i dealt with a months long psychotic episode. it was so bad that i became violent towards everyone. i sought out help just a month ago

also the watering down of bdd like it's so tiring to see people say that they have bdd while I don't even know if this is how I ACTUALLY look ; BDD isn't some cute disorder to have it's distressing and I wouldn't wish this on anyone

THIS. No one should desire to have a mental illness which is why we have professionals that help deal with it so that the person suffers less and doesn’t hurt other around them. Making these conditions, desirable hurt society and the person themselves and around them. I’ve meet people with many mental illnesses and they have told me how suffering and exhausting it is to have them. It aggravates me so much to see people desire and romanticize these in real life and even fiction.
