Your body is ALWAYS working to protect you. And when you're dealing with chronic stress, your menstrual cycle can be one of the first things affected. Stress can come from both EXTERNAL and INTERNAL sources. External stress can include emotional stress, difficult life experiences, and ongoing pressure in your everyday life. But internal stress matters TOO. One of the biggest things I look at when working with women who struggle with irregular periods is whether they're actually eating ENOUGH. SO many women come to me believing they're overeating because we've been taught that LESS is always better when it comes to nutrition. And that is simply NOT TRUE! Your body NEEDS adequate nutrition to support your hormones, nervous system, and reproductive health. When you're consistently under-eating or dealing with significant stress, your body may delay ovulation, which can lead to late or missed periods. This is why supporting your nutritional needs is one of the FIRST things I focus on when working with clients. I also look at potential nutrient deficiencies, chronic stress, and other factors that may be contributing to their symptoms. But here's something important: not every late period is caused by stress. PCOS, thyroid conditions, pregnancy, and other hormonal changes can also affect your cycle. Your body is giving you information, and you deserve to understand what it means! If you're struggling with irregular periods, chronic stress, or hormonal symptoms, you don't have to keep guessing what's going on. Apply to work 1:1 with me through the link in my bio, and let's get to the ROOT of your symptoms so we can work toward supporting your hormone health! #irregularperiods #lateperiod #hormoneimbalance #chronicstress #ovulation
