Amir Abdullah :
There is no such thing as a haraam relationship, Zina is haraam and that which leads to it , that means parents are involved , let’s say they are meeting infront of family and friends , and they are never in a setting which leads to Zina , then that is not haraam, and this is the case in Indonesia , in Malaysia, in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt , and probably most Muslim countries . Having a relation, attraction or even love before marriage is not haraam, rather this was how the sahabah married, with knowing the women before and even being attracted or in love with her, and the Quran explicitly states the women in your right hand, this does not only mean captives , rather this means those women in your control and who rely on your , explicitly pointing to women outside of marriage .
