I'm Pagan and I started following you to better understand my Christian neighbour, thank you for the respectful account of my faith's practices! He and I definitely hold some differences in our beliefs and world views, but we've found a commonality in the values of our faiths that have fostered a genuine curiosity and respect for eachother's religions - those commonalities being a focus on doing more good than harm, protecting those who cannot protect themselves, uplifting those who are struggling, and helping any person or animal in need to the best of our abilities. People get so focused on what makes religions different that they forget to remember what unifies them.

I was taught by Irish nuns in the Texas Panhandle. (How in the world did this happen?) The nuns threw a great Halloween festival where we wore our costumes. Kids trick or treated everywhere. We remembered our saints and went to early mass on All Souls Day in a sugar coma. My birthday is Oct. 27th and I loved the entire week, still do.

it's a day to be whatever you want! my dad and mom went as water heaters (he was a plumber) next year Fred and Wilma from Flintstones and he made the car out of the water heaters costume the year before and my dad looked alot like Fred and they won first place both times! we're catholic born and raised! What's demonic about that?

I grew up in intersect Protestant school because the Baptist admins just couldn’t sustain the school with Baptists alone. Anyways, every Halloween parents would battle it out over whether or not Halloween was satanic. ☠️

Growing up catholic I NEVER understood why my non catholic, Christian friends looked at me crazy for being excited for Halloween. As a kid I always thought, “Did I miss something about Halloween being bad during mass?” [Tears of joy]

My church hands out candy in the community during Halloween and members of the congregation join in to help. This year we’re handing out candy through a giant Frankenstein face and I’m so stoked
