When I started this journey, my intention was never to gain attention or receive praise. I saw a young girl who needed help, and my heart told me to do something. I travelled, searched for her, helped reunite her with her parents, took her to the hospital, and did my best to ensure she received the support she needed. Along the way, Ghanaians joined the journey with prayers, donations, provisions, clothes, and other forms of support. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed in one way or another. May God bless you all. 🙏🏽❤️ But honestly, this journey has not been easy. Sometimes, the very efforts you make to help someone can leave you emotionally exhausted, especially when people begin to question your intentions and accuse you despite all your sacrifices. I am human, too. I get tired, I feel pain, and sometimes I need peace of mind. Now that Vanessa’s family has been found and she has reunited with her parents, I believe it is time for them to take responsibility for her care, welfare, and future. I cannot do everything alone, and I believe the family should now play their part. Stepping back does not mean I have abandoned Vanessa. It means I recognise that her family must also take responsibility. I started this journey with a good heart, and I pray it ends with Vanessa receiving the healing, love, education, and support she deserves. To everyone who trusted Afiaba Media and supported this mission, thank you. You will always be part of Vanessa’s story. Sometimes, doing good comes with pain, criticism, and misunderstandings. But I pray that, in the end, Vanessa’s well-being will matter more than any disagreement.
