@heyjenbrannen: Step-by-step how to make a birthday crown 🪡 ⤵️ ✨ or comment LEARN for the link to the Birthday Crown Kit Supplies and basic instructions for this Waldorf inspired tradition that we love below… Supplies: Felt sheets (I prefer wool or wool blend) Cotton embroidery floss Chenille needle (large eye for easier threading) Ribbon Scissors Tracing / drawing tool Instructions: 1. Trace crown pattern to your felt piece and flip it over the “fold” to trace again (to create both front and back pieces) 2. Draw and cut out your number and any other decorative pieces that will cover your crown (I like to add things that my little one is currently loving or related to the season). *I always draw on the reverse side of my felt so that my markings aren’t visible on the front 3. Determine how you want to arrange these pieces on your crown and take a photo to refer to after. 4. Attach pieces to your crown base - I use a running or whip stitch - plus any additional embellishments you wish (embroidery details, beads, sequins, metallic thread…) 5. Fold over the front and back pieces to match up and stitch ribbons on each end before finishing the remaining edges with the blanket or whip stitch 🙌 Birthday crowns are so joyful to make (and receive!) ✨ I am pretty sure that you will love this project also :) Have fun!
