I had this same experience studying architecture years ago honestly I just didn’t know. But everything works out the way it’s supposed and it will for you

It’s so true, you have to make architecture your whole life, change all of you algorithms to forward you content that will improve your architecture, i manipulated my feeds to teach me how to use apps, forward me material samples, presentation styles, architectural styles and process etc but I did this in third year I will say it is possible but you have to allow yourself to fall in love with it even if it’s beating you black and blue!!!

I had this exact same experience with my undergrad and I had a lot of anxieties and doubts in practise. But I’ve defo taken the time to think about what I acc want out of life. It’s definitely taken a lot of time to get here but I’ve decided I’m going to try and do as best as I can as I do my masters in architecture.

I graduated this summer feeling like a bang average archi student. Got a 2:1 which I was proud of and some firsts in some modules as well but tbh for me I realised if I wasn’t gonna be an exceptional architect I didn’t see the point in pursuing the career. Buildings and places are so important to society as a whole

I’m the student who goes the extra mile but guys what I can tell you is that this is not worth it your health. I’m trying to slow down and give what they expect not more. Like go the extra mile when you can but if you feel like it’s getting bad slow down

Interesting take!! I’m the same! Got a 2:1 for undergrad! I do believe that some schools of architecture make us lowkey seek external validation which is hindering because we become our own worst self critics. I believe the extra work and effort comes from when you actually start enjoying your projects and nerd out to have the passion for what you’re doing!
