@foxcitieshabitat: Welcome Home Emily! Last week we celebrated Emily and her children Miley, Carter, and Dylan as they received the keys to their new home! Emily purchased this home through Habitat's 0% interest mortgage model, and we are so excited for her journey of homeownership. As Emily stated during the dedication, "Having my home dedication, to me and my kids, is such an honor. We’re all looking forward to the memories we’ll be able to make and the holiday’s I’ll be able to host. Having a place to call my own home provides such comfort, safety, and a sense of accomplishment that doesn’t compare to anything I have ever felt before. Being able to say I helped build this house with my own two hands makes it all that much more special. I look forward to being able to build or install a play area for my grandbabies, take my grandkids fishing or walking on the trail, and the many other memories we will be able to make. My grandparents lived five houses to the left of this very house when I was growing up. That in itself makes this home and location a safe and happy home for me. When life got hard and felt like it was crumbling beneath me, grandma and grandpa’s house was a no-fail cure. Everything about this home and location feels right.
