Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi married in October 2001, just days before their first child was due. Their son, Jaden Gil, was born on Oct. 26, 2001. Their daughter, Jaz Elle, was born in October 2003. The couple did not push tennis. In his book Open, Agassi wrote about his own strict father, who demanded he hit harder and earlier. When it was time to parent, Graf said, “We never really introduced tennis so much into their lives. They’ve chosen other things.” In 2024, Agassi told USA Today that tying a child’s right to be loved to their performance is “a tragedy.” Jaden grew up in Las Vegas and found his own sport: baseball. He signed with USC in 2019. He later pitched for the Santa Barbara Foresters and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. In 2025, he played for Team Germany in the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. “Agassi is a very tennis last name,” he told WKBN News. “The goal is to try to make it a baseball one.” Jaz lives an even more private life. Agassi wrote that after she was born, he and Graf privately vowed she would not play tennis either. She is a dancer and horseback rider who loves the outdoors.
