no, because the game is built on this mechanic , try beating that 3 phased maiden in 1 try , I dare ya . few could but most can't , me included , I pulled a miracle out of my ass to beat her.

From what ive heard. originally Hellwalker mode was insanely hard to the point that it felt like PvP. But the bosses being insanely spongy even on the standard difficulty. it would make it much harder to beat the enemies on hellwalker mode. difficulty was turned down because of reviewers but there supposedly a patch that will release on launch that ups the difficulty again

I do agree it's nice that you don't have to restart the boss fight if you die.. but at the same time it feels so good to beat a boss like say yoshitune from onimusha who had 3 phases and was as pain for me.. took me 4 hours to beat him lol

I personally am nervous I’ll get bored. But that doesn’t make it a bad game at all. I can appreciate the graphics, aesthetic and environment. Just not for me

I personally wish it could be a toggle in the settings same with the non re-spawning I wish it could been a setting that way both types of players get what they want I don't think it would be hard to implement

The boss fights are long, so checkpoints do make sense. One of the main criticism people had with Khazan were the long fights, and it probably wouldn't have been criticized as much if they had checkpoints.

but that's why it has different difficulties and everyone is agreeing that even the hardest one is too easy. if you don't want to sweat then ok do the casual mode. but I do like a challenge or I get bored

im saying it should be an option. cleaning out an area only to die on the last 1 or 2 enemies, then comeing bacl only to have thoes same 2 enemies be the only mobs there would kill the challange for me. learning the first phase for a boss only to never have to do it again would kill the challange for me. I know other people dont feel the same way but I was so excited for this game only to find out ill be able to essentially beat a boss by luckily getting past its first phase and only have to deal with the second half of the fight is making me second guess buying it.
