You Can Not allow this behavior. Coming from someone who has experience with children, this reinforcement is not going to solve anything. It’s a temporary bandaid rather than a fix. Respect needs to be reevaluated. I might sound like a Karen but conditioning matters so much. The walking away when u speak, covering your mouth when something he doesn’t like is said and Telling u, not asking u to stop / u can’t do this. Is not ok. I’ve read your comments and understand you are taking the route of letting him act out his emotions, Then discipline. But that route is only going to suppress his want to do these things. And will continue to act out in different ways. You Need to Stop the action when it is happening. Not joke and laugh when these things are happening. You can be the most fun mom while also making sure your kids have the utmost respect towards you.
